Seeking Knowledge, Treading a Blessed Path
COURSES
Learning is a sacred journey, one that expands the mind, nourishes the heart, and brings us closer to Allah.
Our courses are designed for seekers who crave depth, nuance, and meaningful engagement with the Islamic tradition. Having dedicated decades to the study of Islam in both traditional and academic settings, Dr Rehman committed to bridging the gap between scholarship on Islam and the wider Muslim community. But along with being a scholar and academic, she is also a mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, and knows how difficult it can be to carve out the time to learn. That's why all courses are designed to allow students to take part live and to catch up in their own time.
Here you will find courses on a range of subjects including Qur'anic commentary and exegesis (tafsīr), texts in purification of the soul (tazkiyyah), Prophetic tradition (hadīth) and more.
Rooted in classical scholarship yet attuned to contemporary realities, each course invites you to engage critically, ask questions, and develop a richer understanding of Islam. No matter where you are in your learning journey, there’s a place for you here.
Browse the offerings below and take the next step in your path of seeking knowledge.
Allah will exalt in degree those of you who believe, and those who have been granted knowledge.

Announcing Ramadan Course 2026

Islam & Gender Read Alongs
Established during the first global lockdown and still going strong 5 years later, this reading group was created to facilitate reading challenging scholarship on the topic of Islam and Gender. We select an academic text and meet weekly to discuss each chapter until the book is completed. On occasion, I will invite the author of the book to be in conversation with us upon completion. These sessions take place through my Patreon page. Click on the link below to learn more and sign up.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
Verily, the angels lower their wings for the seeker of knowledge. The inhabitants of the heavens and earth, even the fish in the depths of the water, seek forgiveness for the scholar. The virtue of the scholar over the worshiper is like the superiority of the moon over the stars. The scholars are the inheritors of the Prophets. They do not leave behind gold or silver coins, but rather they leave behind knowledge. Whoever has taken hold of it has been given an abundant share.
